Literature Text

Down the creek,
then past the street.
There you will meet,
a past that cannot speak.

Today can never be the past that cannot,
nor the future that is ought to be.
No matter how deep the sea that we see,
there are fishes that cannot be caught.

If I ever wish to meet,
a past that cannot speak,
I might as well go back to sleep
where we always meet.
